EQAI Charter

A Charter for Human–AI Interaction

Artificial intelligence is reshaping the foundations of human society.

As AI systems increasingly influence communication, decision-making, and governance, the relationship between humans and intelligent machines must be guided by clear principles.

Technological capability alone is not sufficient to ensure responsible outcomes.

Human awareness, emotional intelligence, and ethical responsibility must remain central.

The EQAI Charter proposes a framework for responsible human–AI interaction grounded in emotional clarity, reflective judgment, and human accountability.

Article 1 — Human Primacy

Artificial intelligence must remain a tool that supports human judgment.

Responsibility for decisions must always remain with human individuals or institutions.

AI systems may assist with information, analysis, and recommendations, but they must not replace human accountability.

Article 2 — Conscious Interaction

Human–AI interaction should encourage conscious awareness rather than automatic reaction.

Individuals should pause, reflect, and evaluate AI outputs before acting on them.

The speed of machines must not override the responsibility of human judgment.

Article 3 — Emotional Awareness

Human emotional states influence perception, interpretation, and decision-making.

Recognizing emotional conditions is essential for responsible interaction with AI systems.

Emotional intelligence should be treated as a core component of human–AI governance.

Article 4 — Reduction of Emotional Noise

AI systems can amplify information and accelerate responses.

This acceleration can also amplify emotional reactions and misunderstanding.

Human–AI interaction frameworks should include mechanisms that help reduce emotional noise and encourage thoughtful response.

Article 5 — Reflective Dialogue

AI systems should support reflective dialogue rather than replace human thinking.

Human–AI interaction should encourage questioning, clarification, and reconsideration.

The goal of intelligent systems should be to strengthen human reasoning rather than diminish it.

Article 6 — Responsible Development

Developers and organizations designing AI systems carry responsibility for the social impact of their technologies.

Design choices should consider not only technical performance but also the psychological and emotional effects on users.

Human-centered design should remain a priority in AI development.

Article 7 — Evolution of the Protocol

The EQAI Charter is not intended as a fixed doctrine.

Human–AI interaction will continue to evolve as technology advances.

This charter serves as an open framework that may be refined through collaboration among researchers, developers, policymakers, and communities.

A Shared Responsibility

Artificial intelligence represents one of the most powerful technological transformations in human history.

Its impact will depend not only on the capabilities of machines, but on the clarity, responsibility, and wisdom of the humans who use them.

The EQAI Charter invites individuals and institutions to participate in building a future where technology strengthens human judgment and preserves human responsibility.
